At Panhandle Frontline MedEd, our American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Course trains healthcare professionals and first responders to confidently handle cardiac emergencies. Whether you are renewing your credentials or just entering the medical field, you will learn to quickly recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality CPR, and effectively use an AED.

What You Will Learn

Our hands-on training reflects the latest AHA guidelines, emphasizing team dynamics and high-quality care. Key skills include:

High-Quality CPR: Proper depth, rate, and chest recoil for adults, children, and infants.
The Chain of Survival: Critical steps for prehospital and in-facility environments.
AED Operation: Safe and early use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
Effective Ventilations: Proper use of barrier and bag-mask devices.
Team Dynamics: Leading and communicating effectively during multi-rescuer resuscitation.
Choking Relief: Clearing foreign-body airway obstructions for all age groups.

Student Requirements

To successfully complete this hands-on course, students must have the following:

AHA BLS Provider Manual (latest edition; e-book or hard copy is required for all course formats)
Pocket Mask or Barrier Device with a one-way valve (personal ventilation mask)
Valid Photo ID
Comfortable, Appropriate Clothing suitable for active, hands-on participation on the floor

Course Format Options

Instructor-Led Training (Traditional Classroom)

The Instructor-Led format is a traditional, fully in-person classroom experience. Guided by our experienced AHA-certified instructors, you will complete the entire course in one sitting.

How it works: Students watch the AHA course videos, participate in group discussions, practice life-saving skills hands-on, and complete both the written exam and the skills testing under the direct supervision of an instructor.
Best for: Students who learn best in a traditional classroom environment, prefer real-time feedback throughout the entire learning process, or enjoy interactive group dynamics.

HeartCode® (Blended Learning)

The HeartCode format provides a flexible, two-part learning experience that combines self-paced online education with a brief in-person skills test.

How it works: 1. Online Portion: You will first purchase and complete the interactive AHA HeartCode BLS online module at your own pace. This covers the cognitive learning and written exam portions of the course. 2. Hands-On Skills Session: Once you finish the online module, you will bring your completion certificate to our training center for an in-person, hands-on skills practice and testing session with an instructor.
Best for: Busy healthcare professionals, returning students renewing their credentials, or anyone looking to minimize their time spent in a classroom.
